I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in the Los Angeles area.
I received my Master’s Degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Southern California.
I have a strong commitment to expand my knowledge and training, which has included becoming a Certified Bereavement Facilitator through Beyond Loss at Glendale Adventist Hospital, attending several workshops and trainings on treating trauma in children, adults, and older populations, as well as training on attachment, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and current research-based treatments addressing domestic violence. I have been involved in training with Connie Lillas, co-author of Infant/Child Mental Health, Early Intervention, & Relationship-Based Therapies: A Neurorelational Framework for Interdisciplinary Practice which offers a unifying, interdisciplinary framework based on current neuroscience research into how infants and children develop in the context of relationships and their surroundings.
Outside of private practice, I have worked with Real Connections Child Development Institute, where I was a DIR®/Floortime™ player and therapist. I provided social-emotional based developmental services to children with special needs and their families.
In addition to children and families, I have worked with clients in recovery from chemical addiction, people dealing with chronic mental illness such as schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder, and couples and individuals working through issues of infertility, adoption and family building.
